How does the Bronto extruder work?

- Soya beans are loaded in the feeding hopper.
- A feed screw (or vibrating feeder, depending on model) measures the beans into the main screw barrel at the correct rate.
- A magnet prevents metalic objects from entering the main screw barrel.
- Water may be added before the screw barrel if required.
- The soya beans are propelled through screws of decreasing size, building up pressure and temperature.
- Thermocouples measure the temperature of the soya before it leaves the screw.
- The soya is forced through a die at end of the barrel, resulting in a stream of soft and fluffy extruded product.
Your BRONTO extruder comes complete with the extrusion screw, feeders, three phase motor and all electrical and control components neatly mounted on a frame.
