How does the Bronto extruder work?

  1. Soya beans are loaded in the feeding hopper.
  2. A  feed screw (or vibrating feeder, depending on model) measures the beans into the main screw barrel at the correct rate.
  3. A magnet prevents metalic objects from entering the main screw barrel.
  4. Water may be added before the screw barrel if required.
  5. The soya beans are propelled through screws of decreasing size, building up pressure and temperature.
  6. Thermocouples measure the temperature of the soya before it leaves the screw.
  7. The soya is forced through a die at end of the barrel, resulting in a stream of soft and fluffy extruded product.

Your BRONTO extruder comes complete with the extrusion screw, feeders, three phase motor and all electrical and control components neatly mounted on a frame.
